Tell Me Over Coffee

01 · A SAFE SPACE TO BE HEARD

Tell me
over coffee.

Start with whatever you wish someone understood. Write me a letter about what you’re going through, and I’ll take the time to write back.

02 · How it works

A simple letter exchange

  1. 1Ink and watercolour illustration of an open handwritten letter

    You write

Share what’s on your mind. Your words don’t need to be perfect.

  2. 2Ink and watercolour illustration of a cream ceramic cup of coffee

    I sit with your words

I know it can take courage to share something personal. I approach your words with kindness and without judgement.

  3. 3Ink and watercolour illustration of a terracotta envelope closed with a heart wax seal

    You receive a reply

I write a personal letter, sent with care and understanding.

03 · A note from the founder

A person on the other side.

I lost my nephew to suicide, and my dad to cancer. Those losses changed me, and they’re part of why this space matters so deeply to me.

As I’ve shared my own story, people I’ve never met have trusted me with things they felt they couldn’t tell anyone else. I don’t take that trust lightly.

Those conversations are what led me to create Tell Me Over Coffee. When you write here, you’re writing to a real person on the other side.

You’re writing to me.

Why I created this space →

Sometimes, it’s easier to write to a stranger.

Perhaps there’s less to explain. Perhaps it feels easier to share something with someone outside your everyday life. You don’t have to find the perfect words, or begin with an apology.

04 · Themes I hold with care

What you can write about

  • Grief & loss
  • Anxiety & overthinking
  • Loneliness & disconnection
  • Life transitions
  • What’s hard to say out loud

It’s okay if you don’t have the right words. Start wherever you are. ♡

05 · The café menu

Pour what you can.

Imagine we’re sitting across from one another, a cup of coffee between us, and you’re telling me your story. Every letter is welcome here, and I’ll take the time to write back.

If you’d like to leave a little towards the coffee, pour whatever feels comfortable. You’re just as welcome to write without contributing.

10% of each contribution is set aside for SADAG.

Pour what feels right for you.

06 · Giving back

A little kindness goes further.

Tell Me Over Coffee is an independent personal letter exchange, not a charity. I contribute 10% of my proceeds to SADAG, the South African Depression and Anxiety Group.
